How dual value chain embedding affects energy efficiency in China

چکیده
Since the financial crisis, especially after outbreak of COVID-19, global trade division labor has been changing rapidly. The value chain (GVC) keeps shrinking while domestic (DVC) continues to develop. Therefore, it is important re-examine impact different modes on China’s energy efficiency. In this study, we first constructed an input-output model provinces embedded in world measure dual embedding and chains. Then used a three-dimensional fixed-effect study mechanism We found that inhibits efficiency improvement promotes improvement. A series robustness endogeneity tests support these findings. heterogeneity revealed effects are more pronounced low-polluting industries, high-tech years before 2008, coastal regions. test DVC by exacerbating low-end lock-in effect, reducing environmental regulation scale efficiency, increases increasing technological progress GVC improves weakening effect technical

How the Nonextensivity Parameter Affects Energy Fluctuations
In this article, the effect of the nonextensivity parameter on the energy fluctuations of nonextensive systems is studied in two different versions of the Tsallis statistical mechanics. Once a general expression has been reported for the energy fluctuations in the second version (Tsallis work in 1988), the energy fluctuations of an ideal gas and a harmonic oscillator are studied in the second a...
متن کاملHow International Financial Crisis Affects Industries in Beijing, Capital City of China
Beijingâs industrial structure is service-oriented with a high degree of economic openness, and GDP has maintained rapid growth. This paper analyzes the international financial crisis and the impact of Chinaâs anti-crisis policies on Beijingâs economic development as well as its transmission mechanism. Impact Index (excluding seasonal factors) and ARMA Model are employed in the empirical...

متن کاملHow Far Energy Efficiency?
Analysts agree about the need for developing both new and cleaner energy resources. At the same time, some argue that energy efficiency can provide only a minimal role in meeting future energy needs. Hence, energy supply is encouraged while energy efficiency is supported only minimally. Analysts Douglas Lightfoot and Christopher Green suggest in a series of papers, for example, that there are p...
